The graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of Barbara Jean Woodward Isbell, 98, of Waukomis will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday May 19, 2026, at the Waukomis cemetery with Pastor David Jones officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Barbara was born November 4, 1927, to W.A. Bill and Ruth L. Woodward in Wichita, Kansas and passed from this life May 12, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised in Ellsworth, Kansas graduating from Leon High School, Leon, Kansas. After graduation she moved with her family to Carmen, Oklahoma where her father worked for the Frisco Railroad. She later moved to Enid, Oklahoma where she worked for an insurance company before meeting Bill Isbell. She married Bill Isbell April 22, 1951, in Enid. The couple made their home on a farm east of Waukomis then later a farm west of Waukomis. In 1955 they moved to Waukomis where they operated their family farm. She faithfully raised their five children, often doing without so that her children could have more. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and cooking.

She is survived by one son James David Isbell and his wife Mary, of Owasso, Oklahoma; daughter in law Mary Lynn Isbell, of Edmond, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Holly N. Isbell, of Santa Clara, California, Carrie A. Isbell-Kessler, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Andrew Combs, of Enid, Kayla Isbell-Norris, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Evan Isbell, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Erin Isbell, of Edmond, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren; and one brother Don Woodward, of North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Isbell, and four children, Katrina Lee Isbell-Coon, Frieda Mae Isbell, Michael G. Isbell, and Patrick C. Isbell; one brother, and two sisters.
