The memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Carole Jean Hall, 78, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday February 24, 2021 in the Emmanuel Enid Church with Pastor Kevin Choate officiating. under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Carole was born April 24, 1942 to Dale Schwartz and Margaret DeGroot Schwartz in Bismarck North Dakota and entered into heaven February 14, 2021 at her home in Enid, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.
She was raised and educated in Groton Ct. graduating from Fitch High School in 1960. She than attended Librarian school. She married Brian Hall August 11, 1972. In Noank Ct. where they owned and operated their family gas station. They then traveled cross country in their 1955 school bus arriving in Enid 1974.
She worked for the Hallmark Store and then as an auditor for the Enid JCPenney’s store. She Then began working for the US Post Office as a Rural Mail Carrier learning & delivering multiple routes until she became medically unable in 1985. She then traveled the country with her husband as he worked various pipeline and inspection projects. She loved to travel and meeting new people, never knowing a stranger. She was proud of her Country and was very interested in its history always stopping at historical markers and passionately reading them. She loved her children and grandchildren most of all and always enjoyed being with her family. As a mother she always had an open house policy for her children’s friends, and no one ever went hungry. She was an avid reader and had a passion for children’s literature. She even developed several fictional characters and would go into character while She was with her Grandchildren. She was a member of the Emanuel Enid Church.
She was the devoted wife of Brian Hall for 49 years. A mother to 4, Don Elmore, Mark and Michelle Elmore, Mary Beth and Craig Snider, and Jennifer and Chris Diener, all of Enid; a Grammy to 9 grandchildren Kayla Beech, Kaci Rider, Candice Davis, Mark Aaron Elmore, Marena Benson, Brock Elmore, Christina Bentley, Amber Jackson, Megan Diener; and a Gigi to 14 Kyler, Clover, Kimber, Bryer, Camilla, Beau, Dallen, Ebbie, Caroline, Ansley, Jalynne, Cash, Joplynn, and Emmitt and one more arriving in March 2021; she is survived by four siblings, Gary Schwartz, of Atlanta, GA; Rhonda Schwartz, of Port Charlotte, FL, Mary Hopkins, of Purta Gorda, FL, and Eileen Schwartz, of Cheshire, CT.; and 4 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Margaret Schwartz; one grandson Jeremy Elmore, two brothers, Charles Schwartz, and Dean Schwartz, and one sister Margo Bogdanowitz.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her honor to Loves and Fishes or Our Daily Bread with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
