The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Dale Alan Cordell, 71, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday April 24, 2026 in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Bob Wilson officiating. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Dale was born July 2, 1954, to Jack F. Cordell and Juanita Inskeep in Enid, Oklahoma, and passed from this life April 18, 2026 in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Enid attending Enid Public Schools. After his schooling he enlisted in the United States Marines. After being discharged from the United States Marines he went to Florida before traveling to Pennsylvania where he met his wife Penny Pisarchuk the couple was married in 1974, from this union came two children, Shawn and Krystal. The couple moved to Enid where they made their home and later divorced. He traveled extensively throughout the United States on his Harley working various jobs along the way. He then returned to Enid and worked as a C.N.A. for many years and later as a delivery driver, he loved this job because people would just open the door and hand him money. He continued to be passionate about riding motorcycles throughout his life and loved rock music. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and liked Bald Eagles. Although he had a tough exterior, he always had a huge heart and loved deeply.
He is survived by his children, Shawn Cordell and wife Larinda, Enid, and daughter Krystal Gross and husband Jared of Pennsylvania, grandson, Jacob Posey, step granddaughters, Gabriel Schaffer and Brittany McDaniel; and his sisters Janice Schlecht, Anita Schlecht, Alana Croker, and Glenna Drennan
He was proceeded in death by his mother Juanita Inskeep, father, Jack F. Cordell, brothers, Jonnie Cordell, Jackie Cordell, and Larry Schlecht.
