The services celebrating and honoring the life of Edna Louise Dyson, 82, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday July 3, 2026, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Pastor Mitch Lyon officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Edna was born September 26, 1943, to Richard and Marjorie (Cobb) Buschur in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed from this life June 26, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Cincinnati, graduating from Anderson Township High School with the class of 1961. She worked as a phlebotomist for five years at Christ Church Hospital before meeting her husband Don, through mutual friends. The couple were married October 28, 1967, in Cincinnati. The couple moved to Elk City and several towns in Oklahoma before Don began his career at Vance Air Force Base which brought them to Enid, Oklahoma in 1969 where they made their home and she raised their children. She worked at Katy’s Pantry in her younger years and later volunteered for the Election board, PTSA, Girl Scouts of America as a leader, Blue Star Mothers, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a founding member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and anything more that she could do to support her community.

She is survived by her children, Ann Dyson and Brian Dyson; seven siblings, Carol Bouffioux, Richard Buschur, Dorothy Glancy, Daniel Buschur, William Buschur, James Buschur, and Janet Borcherding; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Marjorie Buschur and one sister Judith Manarina.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Blue Star Mothers with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
