Henry "Mike" Sullivan

The Homegoing Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Henry “Mike” Sullivan, 93, of Enid will be held privately. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home. Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. Thursday August, 27, 2026 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. 

Mike was born May 7, 1933, to Sylvester Sullivan and Carrie Bonnie Mae Reid (Allen) in Meridian, Oklahoma and passed from this life August 12, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Meridian, Oklahoma graduating from High School. He was a boxer and a stock car driver. From 1960 – 1970 he ran Buster’s gas station and in 1968 he started Henry’s Lawn Service. From 1970 – 1972 he worked at Clifton Cooper Tire and Service Center, he then drove a truck for the U.S. Post Office at night and drove a school bus in the morning for Enid Public Schools, where he thoroughly enjoyed all of the children and being able to pour into the lives of the local youth. In 1973 he began working as a mechanic at UPS and in 1974 he opened Henry’s Detail Shop while still working for UPS and running the lawn care business. He married Linda Lou Cohee in Enid, Oklahoma. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife Linda Lou Sullivan of the home; seven Children, Janice Sullivan, Henryetta Rahman, Marilyn Sullivan, Barbara Sullivan, Wayne Sullivan, Daughter-in-law Vannecia Sullivan, Kim Miller, Pamela Hill, Son-in-law Samuel Hill; honorary daughter, Evelyn Murray; a host of Grandchildren; Great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

He is preceded in death by two children, Henry Sylvester Sullivan and Ginger Ann Sullivan, and his parents, Sylvester Sullivan and Carrie Bonnie Mae Reid.
