Hubert Leckie

The services celebrating and honoring the life of of Hubert “Bert” Leckie Jr., 61, of Enid will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday April 11, 2025, in the Meadowlake Park, Enid, Oklahoma.

Hubert “Bert” Leckie Jr. was born August 28, 1963, to Hubert E. and Floy Alice Rogers Leckie in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life April 3, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Enid, Oklahoma and Derby, Kansas. He married Galela Young August 8, 2008, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He worked for the City of Enid Water distribution and as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over twenty-two years. He enjoyed going to the Enid Speedway, watching the races and visiting with friends in the Pits following the races and building model cars.

He is survived by his wife Galela Leckie, of the home, his father Hubert E. Leckie, Sr.; one sister, Loretta Parker, of Kansas; his children, Clara Nichols and husband Ben, of Kansas, Earon Leckie, of Oklahoma, and Brandon Leckie, of Oklahoma; his step-children that he raised, D.J. Buszek, of Edmond, Joedy Buszek and his wife Shania, of Enid, and Heather Buszek, of Hennessey, and his grandchildren, Landon Nichols, Hannah Nichols, Logan Nichols, Ezra Buszek, Adeline Buszek, Kaydence Buszek, Savannah Buszek and Oliver Baxter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Floy A. Leckie and sister, Joyce E. Leckie.
