The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Jerry Tee Young, 63 of Waukomis, Oklahoma, will be held privately. Complete cremation care under the direction of Brown-Cummings, a life celebration Home.
Jerry was born in Enid on July 1st 1962, to Ralph and Mary Young of Waukomis, Oklahoma and Passed from this Life September 27th 2025, in Marshall, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Waukomis, Oklahoma where he completed 10th grade before embarking on a lifelong career in the oilfield industry. He began working as a floor hand at a young age and continued in the oilfield. His dedication and work ethic defined his professional life until his retirement in 2019. The oilfield wasn’t just a job for Jerry it was a way of life that he embraced fully.
He married Shawna McCormick January 1st 1983 and from this Union came four children.
Jerry’s greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and his family and being outdoors. He loved camping trips under the Open sky, casting lines into The quiet Waters while fishing, and the thrill of watching races, and building race cars. Whether it was playing with his grandkids or enjoying nature’s peace, Jerry found happiness and simple pleasures and shared moments and memories with his loved ones.
He Is survived by his daughters Melinda (Young) Woolsey and her Significant Other Shannon Skaggs Of Marshall, Oklahoma, Kera (Young) Kusik and her Husband Aaron Kusik Of Enid, Oklahoma, Sarah Ogden and her Husband Josh Ogden of Jasper, Georgia. Sons: Brandon Young Of Marshall, Oklahoma; Jared Tucker and His Wife Ashley Tucker Of Ames, Oklahoma.
Grandchildren: Mykell Woolsey, Neheava Woolsey, Bryden Marshall, Bralyn Marshall, Paula Marshall, K’ly Thorlton, Naythen Barnes, Tayler Barnes, Maverick (Young) Unruh, along with one Great Grandson Ezekiel Wheeler.
Brothers: Terry Young and Leroy Young both of Waukomis, Oklahoma and Sister Kathy Mattke of Enid, Oklahoma.
He was preceded In death by his parents Ralph and Mary Young; brother George “Gene” Young and Sister Barbara Bright.
Those who knew Jerry remember him as Someone who would do anything he could to help others a good person with a generous Heart. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the memories held dear by those who loved him.
