Joshua Allen Guidroz

The memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Joshua Allen Guidroz, 39, of Enid will be held 1:00 P.M. June 29, 2026 at On the Sidewalk Bar and Grill, 144 W. Randolph Ave. A Public Candlelight vigil will be held 7:45 P.M. Sunday June 28, 2026, at 711 W. Kenwood Blvd. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Joshua was born December 1, 1986, to David Guidroz and Verna “Christy” Hernandez in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed from this life June 23, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Port Arthur, Texas. After completing his education, Josh spent time living in Mississippi before eventually making Enid his home in 2000. His career took him in several different directions over the years, each reflecting his strong work ethic and desire to help others. In 2022, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he fulfilled a meaningful role as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, serving those facing difficult challenges. He returned to Enid in 2025 to be closer to family.

Josh was fascinated by the moon and stars and found joy in volunteering at local shelters, dancing, collecting tennis shoes, and spending time with his McDonald’s coffee group. He had a remarkable gift for making people laugh and lifting their spirits. Always ready with a joke, he also had a compassionate heart and was someone others could count on to listen, encourage, and care for them. His kindness and light touched the lives of many.

He is survived by his mother Christy Hernandez, of Enid, three children, Isabella, Sydney (Camryn), and Josh Jr. His father David and Missy Guidroz, of Port Arthur. His stepfather, Dean (Dino) Depew. his aunts, Cynthia Decker and Josh; Michelle McGee and Robert. His Uncle Wendell and Joy Hernandez. His siblings; Crystal Rains and Koby, Stacey Lavergne and Jack, Tanner Guidroz, Michael Dean and Kearie Depew, Justin Guidroz, Amber Johnson and Aron; his grandmother Mary Barton; his girlfriend Carrie and his cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved very much, extended family members and friends.

He had an incredible support system and so many people showed him love over the course of his life. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Jeremy and Chelsea Williams of Sober Vibes OKC for their love and unwavering support throughout Josh's sobriety journey; to Nick Golbahar for his mentorship during his recovery; and to Wasif and Megan for their enduring mentorship, friendship, and support throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his Pawpaw, Wendell Hernandez; his Aunt Meme; and other beloved family members and friends who went before him.

Memorials may be given in his name to Sober Vibes OKC and/or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- Oklahoma Chapter with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
