The services celebrating and honoring the life of Kenneth “Ken” Clay Northcutt 67, of Enid, will be held Thursday March 26, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Gene Long officiating. The graveside service will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, a life celebration home.
Kenneth was born to Leonard and Lois Coffman Northcutt September 28, 1958, into a loving home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Chislom High School in 1976. From an early age he had a passion for music, expressly for playing the drums. This passion led him to attend Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa, where he became the lead drummer in the school band “The Roustabouts”. The band performed extensively including a trip behind the Iron Curtain in Russia in the early 1980’s.
After receiving his associates degree, he moved to Houston where he worked in the automotive parts business by day and played in multiple bands by night.
Kenneth then moved to Dallas and attended Northwood University. A few years later his brother Scott also attended Northwood University. They often met to share meals together. All the time in Dallas, Kenneth continued to drum for local bands.
In 1995 Kenneth returned to Enid and joined his family’s business Northcutt Auto. He worked all facets of the auto industry – Sales, Body Shop and Parts Department where he worked for many years, while continuing to play with multiple local bands.
To know Kenneth was to know a man that never spoke a negative word about others, a man that was as gentle as his smile and soft spoken, a man that was a true friend. He loved drumming and listening to “Dirty Jazz”. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing and had a giant heart for animals, especially his beloved dogs.
Kenneth is survived by his Brother, Scott Northcutt and his wife Christy, of Enid; Nephew Nate Northcutt of Perkins and Nephew Len Northcutt of Enid, Cousin Ginger Walker and husband Ron of Edmond, Cousin Donna Beardmore of Edmond, and his longtime companion Tina Bolinger of Enid; He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Clay Northcutt.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, plants or meals, please donate to a local animal shelter such as Enid SPCA, FURever Friends, or your shelter of choice, knowing nothing would make Kenneth happier.
Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.BrownCummings.com.
