Kitty Dinhobl

The celebration of life service for Kitty Marie Dinhobl will be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 29, 2021 in the Calvary Baptist Church Chapel. Complete cremation care and services under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Kitty was born on April 26, 1933 in LaGrange, Texas and peacefully passed in Enid, Oklahoma on January 27, 2021.

She attended a private Catholic school in Galveston, Texas, for her elementary years.  Later, her family moved to Beeville, Texas, where she attended A. C. Jones High School. After marrying Sherman McKinley, her high school sweetheart, Kitty finished school in Beeville, Texas and studied business classes at a local college.

She was a very devoted wife, and mother, to her son and daughter.  She often served as room mother, Boy Scouts' Den Leader, and other like opportunities.

Achievements included gaining multiple top sales awards with Sears & Roebuck Co.  She loved selling pretty clothes, undergarments, shoes & accessories to ladies that called in for catalogue orders.  Putting attire together for others was her gift, along with being an accomplished seamstress.  Local ladies often requested her assistance when they desired attire for occasions.  Later in life, Kitty studied art while residing at Golden Oaks Village in Enid, OK.  Her artistic influence was passed on to her daughter and grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Dinhobl of Texas City, Texas; her sister, Doris Jones of Beeville, Texas; brother, George Dinhobl & wife, Florence, of Hitchcock, Texas; daughter, Charlotte Williams & husband, Steve; grandchildren, Stephanie, Angela & Matthew Williams, all of Enid.

She was preceded in death by one son Raymond McKinley.
