Marion "Butch" Bledsoe

October 25, 1938 — May 21, 2024

The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Marion “Butch” Bledsoe, 85, of Enid, will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday May 31, 2024, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Butch was born October 25, 1938, to Floyd Hughes and Rosa lee (Pruett) Bledsoe in Reed, Oklahoma and passed from this life May 21, 2024, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Reed, Oklahoma in early years and then moved following his father’s military career to San Antonio, Texas and finally to Enid, Oklahoma. He then graduated from Memorial High School where he was active in athletics. He was married to Patricia Pribyl, of Bison, for many years. He enlisted in the United States Artillery National Guard where he honorably served his country for 8 years. He began working several different jobs  working as an electrical lineman, as a route salesman for Bond Bread and Frito Lay and later owned Enid Garage Door. After his retirement he bought a heavy-duty pick-up and delivered horse trailers throughout the U.S. and Canada. He loved Trout fishing, pheasant hunting, and golfing; however, his #1 hobby was being a “Papa”.

He is survived by, Pat, two sons, Gregg Bledsoe (Diana), of Bison and Kevin Bledsoe (Karen), of Bixby; his daughter Kelli Miller (Brett), of Enid; five grandchildren, Brice Bledsoe (Cambria), Katlyn Costello (Mike), Brady Miller (Rachel), Brandon Miller (Virginia), Kody Miller (Candace)  nine great grandchildren that he was very, very proud of! He is also survived by two sisters, Sue Conrady and Joy Harrison, and a brother Bob Bledsoe, and his best friend, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Gary Bledsoe; and two sisters, Patsy Nix and Charlotte Schultz

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
