Marlynn John

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Marlynn John, 49, of Enid, will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday January 22, 2026, in the Family Prayer and Worship Church. Burial will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday January 24, 2026, in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Marlynn was born November 26, 1977, to Atru and Atrita in Jabour Island, Marshall Islands and passed from this life December 29, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Jabour Island and Santa Island attending Ebeye Island Schools graduating with the class of 1995. She worked on her family’s homestead in Kinew Weta, Majuro Island before moving to Hawaii in 2004. She later moved to Enid in 2023 where she worked at Mid-Continent Packing until she was physically unable.

She is survived by her husband Llanlan Asher, ten children; two grandchildren, and her mother and stepfather Atrita and John Stovall.

She was preceded in death by one child Rocky Asher.
