Mavis L Campbell

The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Mavis Lucille (Scriven) Campbell,76, of Covington will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday January 8, 2026, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Pastor Ryan Nelson officiating. Complete cremation care and services are underthe direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Mavis was born February 17, 1949, to James Alfred and Nora Louise (Strattan) Scriven at home in Drumright, Oklahoma and passed from this life January 3, 2026, at home in Covington, Oklahoma. 

She was raised and educated in Drumright until the age of thirteen when her family moved to Dover and later to Enid where she graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1967. She went on to attend Enid Business College graduating in 1969. She married Danny Ray Campbell July 22, 1976, in Enid. She worked at Vance Air Force Base as the Civil Engineering Coordinator for over forty years retiring in 2009. She loved collecting sand from beaches all around the world and enjoyed spending time outside when the weather was nice.

She is survived by one son Billy Campbell, one brother Howard Arend and wife Peggy of Covington; one sister Nancy Goforth, of Cushing; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Danny Campbell, four brothers, and five sisters.
