Richard "Ricky" Carson

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Richard Carson “Ricky”, 66, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday December 19, 2024, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home. 

Ricky was born March 30, 1958, to Jewell Sr. and Edith Zero Carson in Pawnee, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 14, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

He was raised and educated in Enid and attended Concho Indian School in El Reno. He then worked in the oil field as a ruff neck and casing . He then moved to Omak, Washington for twenty years where he worked at the sawmill until his retirement in 2010. At this time, he moved to Enid. He enjoyed fishing and camping, watching sports especially the Seahawks and OU, and he loved spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his brothers Mike Carson and wife Alma, of Enid, Bill Carson, of Omak, Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jewell and Edith Carson, and three brothers, Jewell II, Gary, and Johnny and two sisters, Donna Thompson and Mary Kay.
