He was born August 29, 1955 in Muskegon, Michigan and passed from this life on February 27, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.

As a young child he moved to Major Co. where he spent most of his life.

He was raised and educated in Fairview graduating from Fairview High School in 1973. He married Jo Summers in 1975 and moved to Ames and worked for the Ames Texaco Station and joined the  Ames Volunteer Fire Dept, retiring after 20 years .  He then worked for TransOk Pipeline Co. He then became part of the family at Biby Ag and Equipment where he worked for over 25 years until he was medically unable. Jerry Biby was a great boss, Bob considered him an awesome  friend as well.

Bob was a lover of life and had a great since of humor. He loved to tell old and new funny stories and jokes. He enjoyed sports especially his “Sooners” football. His Nebraska buddies always had a ticket for him in Lincoln and loved to be with Bob in Norman and he always had a ticket for them. He was also a Washington Redskins fan and when they won, he would loudly sing “Hail to the Redskins”. He enjoyed Nascar racing and was quite the dancer. He loved going hunting with his brother and closest friend Max. He was also a good Golfer playing in O.U. tournaments throughout the years.  Bob was an avid fisherman spending untold weekends competing in bass fishing tournaments; placing in many and winning more then his share. He was a dedicated member of the Enid Bass Fishing Club.

Bobs greatest love was his family and friends. He was Rosetta’s sweetheart, Max’s hunting buddy and a beloved dad to his children and “Papa Bob” to his grandchildren. He never missed a chance to spend time with them, especially playing jokes and telling stories.

He is survived by his wife Rosetta of the home; brother Max, of Fairview; sister Sheryl Schultz and husband Ray, of Enid; daughters Robbie of Glenpool, Monica Melton and husband Jeremy of Broken Arrow, step children Lori Stevenson and husband James of Enid, Lisa Trejo and husband Rolando of Ringwood and son Gary Cottom and wife Tracy of Flora Vista N.M.; grandchildren Shon Cerney, Devin Paulsen, Logan, Blake, and Chandler Melton,  Aspyn and Kole Cottom, Kihe and Kara Willard, Marcos and wife Gabby Trejo, Karly and Ariel Trejo and special aunt Arlene Logan.
