Steve Biddle, 77, passed away peacefully August 16,2025 at his home in Enid Oklahoma. He was born on January 6,1948 to Albert and Jane Hawkins Biddle in Brookston Indiana.
He was raised and educated in Brookston Indiana graduating from Frontier High School. He began working for McDonalds in Lafayette Indiana for Ray Kroc’s family while in High School. After graduating he went on to attend Purdue University, continuing to work for McDonalds as a Manager. He wore many hats in McDonald’s including building the first drive thru’s in Indiana. In 1979 he moved to New Orleans where he served as the Regional Training Manager. He married Lynn Hutchings January 10, 1987 and purchased the two McDonald’s in Enid . They went on to open a restaurant in Alva in 1992 and the McDonald’s on Willow in 1998. They also owned the McDonald’s in Walmart. They made their home in Enid where they continued to own and operate McDonalds for twenty-eight years. Steve reached a milestone his life celebrating 50 years with McDonald’s in 2014 as both an employee and an Owner.
Steve and Lynn enjoyed RVing around the country attending Nascar races, where they met many life long friends. He also enjoyed golf and attended the Masters multiple times. He loved farming and enjoyed helping friends harvest by being a great grain cart operator. While owning the restaurants he was enthusiastic about sponsoring youth events and was the Enid High football announcer with KGWA for twenty years.
In his later years his goal was to post something on Facebook everyday that would make people smile.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Biddle, one daughter Stephanie Biddle, of Apollo Beach Florida, two granddaughters, Kendall and Madison, and four great grandchildren; one sister, Ellen of Spokane Washington, nephew, Mark and his wife Heather and their three children, one niece Jane and her husband Jeremy and their two children all of Spokane, Washington; sisters in law Cris Dycus and Anna Hutchings and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins and all of the members of his McDonald’s family
He was preceded in death by his parents Jane Biddle, Albert Biddle and stepmom Dorothy Biddle, and one brother-in-law, Jeff Hutchings and many other loved family members.
Family visitation will be held Friday August 22, 2025 from 5-7p.m. at Brown Cummings Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday 23, 2025 at 11a.m. at 81 Ranch. The services will be live streamed on the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Facebook Page at the time of the service.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Ronald McDonald House of Oklahoma City or Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings, A Life Celebration Home serving as custodian of the funds.
